AVK and Sustainability
At AVK, Sustainability is recognised as a core fundamental. With clear policies we make it a priority to uphold standards globally for better.
At AVK we strive for a better tomorrow. We make it our obligation to promote and practice sustainability as water conservation and business mix well with us. We pride our technology on reducing non-revenue water, but it doesn’t end there. The production and installation of piping and valves often requires the excavation of sites and leaves a small footprint. With our policies, AVK is able to reduce the environmental impact created by installation activity delivering our promise to you.
As the demand for safe drinking water rises so too does the demand for efficient water networks that transport it. When you put your water in the hands of AVK you can rest assured our products will allow you to enjoy the benefits 100 years of successful business in the water industry has to offer.
AVK’s contributions to the UN SDG’s
The United Nations have developed 17 Sustainable Development Goals to which they stand true for a better future for all. For more information on the SDG’s please visit the UN’s official SDG site.
An important goal in particular is access to clean water for all. AVK contributes to the UN’s goals by providing clean water, the sanitation of waste water, reducing water waste, the consumption of electricity and CO2 emissions. With recent innovations AVK offers product designed to last and operate on lower torque requirements. This means less energy consumption and eliminating the need to excavate until you do, because we believe in getting it right the first time.
AVK is committed to the pursuit of knowledge made possible by its partnerships with leading Danish firms in the valving industry. By sharing knowledge of water technology AVK and its partners are able to offer solutions to global water management problems which were never before accessible. However, AVK recognises the future of water management rests in the hands of those that follow in our legacy, therefore we have founded the “Advanced Water Cycle Management Course” which runs through the summer. The course is proud to offer the latest technology and knowledge available to provide an immersive experience into water management as students are educated on the most efficient supply and treatment processes.
